District Vice Chair – Membership & Activities

Responsible to the District Chair to run the Membership Chair and Activities Chair operations to the proper program of Scouting in the district as directed by the executive board of the council.

“Spend as much time, and stay involved with your kids as much you can because they grow up in an instant.”

Yoli Johnson has served scouting over the last 8 years in Pack, Troop, and District positions. She has been the Committee Chair in two different packs, advancement chair in one troop, training chair in another troop, and been the District Activities Chair. She has served as part of the District Membership team as well as supported Day Camp and Merit Badge College. During the merger process Mrs. Johnson served on the District naming Committee.

Mrs. Johnson has a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management which supports her part-time work with Texas Back Institute as a Clinical Research Coordinator. She’s a proud native Texan. When she’s not scouting, Yoli enjoys watching movies at the theatre, expanding her cooking abilities through classes, and geocaching with the family (which we here at orion-bsa.org would say is STILL scouting…).

Yoli Johnson brings much experience and commitment to the role and strives to increase our district membership and engaging units in a high participation rate for Orion activities. Having already earned the 2019 Tonkawa Leader of the Year, the William D. Boyce New Unit Organizer award, and most recently the 2021 Milky Way Award, we are sure Mrs. Johnson will make a difference.

We are proud to welcome Yoli Johnson in as the next District Vice Chair for Membership and Activities and wish her the best Scouting has to offer as she takes on her new volunteer role.
